Try a new hobby or improve your skills with the RAS Art School. Attend weekly classes in a wide variety of subjects, techniques and media (oil, watercolour, pastel, acrylics, mixed media, drawing).  Peter Dorahy Memorial Student Drawing Award

Peter was a highly respected teacher at the RAS for many years.  This prize is open to all students at the art school and is held in conjunction with our annual members' drawing exhibition at the beginning of the year.

Alan Hansen Memorial Award

The Alan Hansen Memorial Award is an acquisitive prize awarded at the Art School Exhibition in November each year. All students are eligible to enter. The winning artwork becomes part of the RAS Art School Collection.

RAS Diploma

Students can also undertake the RAS Diploma. This is an opportunity to further enhance skills in painting and drawing. Successful completion of the RAS Diploma means immediate elevation to Exhibiting Member.
