Dee Jackson

Although Australian based, I have spent several years living in Southern Africa and NZ.
Watercolour is my great love; it lends itself to the softness & curves of the human form.  
My portraits are commissioned throughout Australia, NZ, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, UK, USA, Vietnam.  Am represented in Corporate Art Collections of ResMed Corp. & RSL Life Care Narrabeen. 
Semi-Finalist in Doug Moran National Portrait Prize (2014) & Finalist in Black Swan Portraiture Prize (2012).  
Exhibiting member Portrait Artists Australia (PAA). 
A career highlight (2014) was to be included in the PAA Exhibition “AN ICONIC COLLECTION OF AWARD-WINNING WORKS BY SOME OF AUSTRALIA’S FINEST ARTISTS” Australian Embassy, Washington DC. USA. 
Exhibited in Australian Federal Parliament House (2012 & 2009); NSW Parliament House (2013, 2011 & 2009) & Victorian Art Society Gallery, Melbourne (2014 & 2011). 
Finalist Blacktown City Art Prize (2015 & 2012) & Hunters Hill Art Prize (2016, 2015, 2014 & 2013). 
Awarded HIGHLY COMMENDED (2015) & COMMENDED (2016 & 2013) CASS ‘Art of Sydney”, Australian National Maritime Museum.
Exhibiting member Ku-Ring-Gai Art Society (KAS). Awarded INAUGURAL KAS MEMBERS CHOICE PRIZE (2013) / 1st Prize Watercolour (2013) & 2nd Prize Watercolour (2010).
I am Publicity Officer (Executive Committee) Combined Art Societies of Sydney (CASS).
Have conducted workshops/demonstrations for 10 Art Societies.
