Erika Beck FRAS
Award winning artist Erika Beck has developed a strong reputation in Australia for her creativity, experimentation and integrity working with gestural abstraction for over 30 years. Erika, was born in Zagreb, Croatia, she initially trained in Europe, living in France, Germany and England before she settled in Sydney where she developed a great empathy and love for the Australian landscape.
Erika made many painting tours to Central Australia and The Kimberley, Kangaroo Island and most recently the Port Douglas, the Daintree and Cape Tribulation and she regularly visits the South and North Coast of New South Wales, always to be inspired by the great diversity of the Australian landscape, its unique colours and the magnificent light.
Erika has had 16 solo exhibitions and she regularly participates in selected group exhibition She is a multi award winning artist. Erika Beck has been an influential art teacher for over thirty years through appointments at the Ku-ring-gai Art Centre, the Northbridge School of Visual Arts and at the Mitchell College Summer School.
