John Adameitis ARAS

Born 1947.  Retired architect “in transition” to painting full time.

Exhibiting member of the RAS since July 2010.  Also exhibits with the Australian Society of Marine Artists (ASMA)

Like many has been drawing and painting since childhood and shaped his career path accordingly.  Has worked in most traditional mediums but is now more or less permanently engaged in mastering oils across all genres.

Believes life is primarily a visual experience and feels compelled to capture and savour the GGMs (God Given Moments) and hopefully engage the viewer with same.

An avowed traditionalist, he is preoccupied with the Real on a sensory and emotional level rather than the abstract… is quite happy with the world as he sees it and for better or worse does not feel compelled to disassemble it.  Loves marine subjects and portraiture.
