Neil Hetherington FRAS
Neil Hetherington, on his return to Australia in 1980, studied under Graeme Inson (d; 2000) at his Sussex Street studio. He paints in oils and has developed his own style based on the Tonal Impressionism method of which Max Meldrum was a great proponent. He has been hung in many exhibitions, including the Shirley Hannan Portraiture Prize, winning a number of awards.
Neil is a Fellow of the Royal Art Society of NSW and has studios, and exhibits in both Sydney and St Ives, Cornwall. In 2016 he was awarded the Medal of Distinction.
